The FOG Team is proud to announce the immediate availability of the first release candidate for FOG 1.3.0.

Overall, there have been many updates since 1.2.0's release back in July of 2014. This release candidate addresses many issues from 1.2.0 as well as includes many new features.

Of the many updates, one of the most significant is the look and feel of the graphical user interface. It not only looks completely different, but the performance is, far and away, much improved upon.

Other improvements are shown in the Fog Operating System (FOS) environment. The imaging speeds are significantly improved. The code base no longer makes assumptions on the HDD layout. Compatibility is still held in high regard though, so older imaging layouts will still work correctly. OS's supported are Windows XP through Windows 10, Linux, Chromium OS, and Apple Mac OS. Resizing handles NTFS and EXT partitions more properly. FOS will now boot with obtaining DNS information automatically as well.

The FOG Client is highly improved upon as well. The new client is cross platform, has Windows 10 support, and is less taxing on the server.

There are many more updates, too many to try to discuss in this news posting.

We ask that you to please update to the latest version on trunk and test the RC. As always, post any bugs you find on the forums.
